Welcome to Otter Bay Pods

Two self catering glamping pods situated on a quiet site, a few hundred yards off the A866 which takes you directly to and from Stornoway town centre/ferry port which is a 10 minute drive away and Stornoway airport which is a 5 minute drive away.  There is a lovely view of a bay in the distance and some local beaches are a short drive away.

The glamping pods sleep a maximum of four people. Unfortunately at this time I cannot accommodate very young infants as I do not have a cot.

Well behaved dogs are welcome but please ring or email Sarah prior to booking if you wish to bring your dog.

The pods are self contained (no trips to a toilet block in the middle of the night!) and come with an en-suite wc/shower room, Pod 1 has a small double bed and Pod 2 has a standard double bed.  Both pods have a kitchenette with single electric induction hob, mini fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, dining area, sofa-bed (suitable for two younger children or one adult) and Freeview TV. I provide you with complimentary tea/coffee/sugar, shampoo/conditioner, towels, bed linen & a hairdryer.

For your convenience there is a small but well stocked shop 'Buth An Rubha and Café Roo', Old Knock School, Knock, Point, with an alcohol licence & cashpoint, just a few minutes drive up the road (on the A866 to Stornoway).

You can connect to the internet using your mobile data allowance.

There is so much to do and see on the island from fishing, golfing, sightseeing and birdwatching. In the summer Stornoway plays host to the Hebridean Celtic Festival attracting around 18,000 revellers.  For something more historic, visit the standing stones in Callanish circa 2700 BC or the Blackhouses in Arnol where you can see a traditional tweed loom in action.

There is an abundance of wildlife to see on the Isle of Lewis. If you fancy some Whale/Dolphin spotting then Tiumpan Head just a few miles from Otter Bay Pods is famous for being one of Europe's best locations.

For cycling enthusiast, how about a bike ride along the Hebridean Way, a 184 mile long on-road route that takes you all over the Outer Hebrides.

If you want to take it easy, take a stroll along one of the many award winning sandy beaches for some Seal spotting.

Venture into Stornoway with it's selection of bars, restaurants and shops or visit Lews Castle which has been refurbished and take a stroll in the lovely grounds where you can see Salmon making their way along the Creed river.

Trip advisor ranked the island of Lewis and Harris number one in the European category and fifth best island in the world in the Travellers Choice Awards 2014 so what are you waiting for... get booking!

Rates vary from just £89 per night to £99 per night depending on the time of year.
